A licensed psychologist with concentration on clinical and developmental psychology. He studied Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology, Master of Arts in Clinical, and Master in Public Management and Development. Currently, he is specializing in Developmental Psychology. He is a certified clinical anxiety, and trauma treatment professional level 2, and a certified specialist in employee assistance – clinical. He uses psychobiographical therapy as an overarching mode of therapy, and utilizes techniques from different therapeutic in helping clients to heal, and discover their selves.
He is the managing partner and Director in Safe Space Psychological Services. A former consultant psychologist and associate clinical supervisor in In Touch Community Services Philippines, and a former graduate-school faculty member teaching abnormal psychology, clinical psychology, counseling and psychotherapy.
Before entering the field of Psychology, for 8 years he worked as a development professional for community development and behavioral change under UNICEF, Global Funds, UNFPA, United States Peace Corps Philippines, and the Cebu Provincial Government.
He received several institutional awards such as Leadership Excellence Award, Outstanding Cebuano Youth Leader and Outstanding Youth Volunteer in Central Visayas.
He is a member of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP), and an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) . He receives local and international clinical supervision and mentoring.
In his free time, he plays violin and cello, SCUBA-dives, and reads books.
